Lahore: Secretary General, Jamaat e Islami, Liaqat Baloch, has said that the fourth budget of the Nawaz Sharif government was disappointing and had failed to provide any relief to the masses.
Addressing a meeting here on Tuesday evening, he said that prices had been rising after the announcement of the budget. He said that an economic system based on interest and dependent on IMF and world powers could not overcome the economic crisis in the country.
He said that wiping out corruption was inevitable for the progress and prosperity of the country and stressed upon the government and the opposition to agree on joint ToRs so that accountability of the corrupt elements anywhere court be started. He declared the JI drive for a Corruption Free Pakistan would continue.
Liaqat Baloch said that the holy month of Ramzan was meant to create an atmosphere for repentance and piety and turning towards Allah enabling the faithful to absorb divine blessings and seek forgiveness of their sins. He said that during Ramazan, Satan and the genie were chained and an atmosphere conducive for virtuous deeds prevailed. All those who availed this opportunity to cleanse themselves of evil were lucky and would definitely earn divine pleasure.
