land record computerization in punjabMandi Bahauddin(Sher Gondal : Land records of Mandi Bahauddin district have been computerized but land records of Chak 51, Wasu. Shahidanwali, Kadhanwala and Pindi Bahauddin were left un-computerized.

Imran Aslam resident of Chak 51 said Mandi Bahauddin city was originally constructed in area of Chak 51, during 1920s and with passing time new localities came up and the city spread over the estate of neighboring villages.

Municipal Committee limits were extended to bring in new built up localities in its precincts. Land owners have small land holdings and they have no access to land related information. The land of the left over villages being in urban area is very costly and predators in collusion with revenue staff change revenue record entries and illegally occupy the land of the weak land owners. In several cases false transactions and mutations were registered.

Imran said widows and orphans are the main victims of revenue officials. He said residents and land holders of Chak 51 and its neighboring villages call upon CM Punjab to direct the revenue authorities to computerize land record of left our estates of the fore mentioned villages and save them from fraud of revenue officials and predators who have made it a business to grab land of the weak.
