Lahore: Punjab University, with 278 points, emerged winners in Pakistan Inter-Varsity Swimming Championship 2016. The championship was organized under the aegis of Sports Board Punjab (SBP) at University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore swimming pool.
Director Sports Punjab Hafeez Bhatti supervised the championship as Technical Delegate while Vice-Chancellor UET and Dean Civil Engineering Prof Dr Abdus Sattar Shakir was the chief guest on this occasion. Chairman UET Sports Board and Dean Chemical Engineering Prof Dr Nadeem Feroze and Director Tournament Mohammad Tanveer were also present on this occasion.
The runners-up position went to UCP Lahore who grabbed 260 points followed by GCU Lahore (203), Superior University (49), Iqra University Karachi (35) and UET Lahore (5). The title of Best Swimmer was taken by Sami Ullah Nazir of Punjab University.
