Libraries of the universities are repository of knowledge, wisdom : Dr. Talat Afza

Lahore: Vice Chancellor, Government College Women University, Professor Dr. Talat Afza has said that libraries of the universities are repository of knowledge; wisdom; research and development which is enshrined in the books preserved in them.

She made these remarks while inaugurating a new research lab at the women university, here, today.

“The glory and majesty of intellectual and civilizational heritage is amply reflected in the libraries of universities which infact stands as a practical manifestation of any society’s commitment to knowledge economy”, the Vice Chancellor maintained.

Professor Dr. Talat Afza further said that this new research lab would pave the new vista of research and development by providing opportunity to the research scholars in particular and students in general. The ceremony was attended by a large number of faculty members; students which include: – Registrar librarian Ms. Tahira Tariq; member library committee: – Ms. Shagufta Saleem; Ms. Almas Fatima and Ms. Musarrat Bashir.
