Lahore: President, Jamiat e Ittehad ul Ulema, Pakistan, Molana Abdul Ma’lik, has said that the drone attacks were a slap on the face of the rulers who believed the US as their friend and well-wisher. He was addressing a big Friday congregation at Mansoora mosque.
Molana Abdul Malik said that had the rulers not mortgaged their courage and sense of honour in exchange for a few dollars, the country’s sovereignty would not been violated so frequently.
In line with the Milli Yakjehti Council (MYC) appeal to the Ulema and religious parties for forging national unity, he urged the nation to unite in order to protect its independence, and sovereignty and to get rid of the US slaves. He said that the religious forces and parties would have to rise above their minor differences and unite the nation on one platform for foiling the enemy designs.
Molana Abdul Malik said that Pakistan could achieve stability and progress only by practicing the golden principles of Islam. He said that as and when the Muslims stood united, Allah blessed them with successes. He said the Muslims of the sub continent had achieved this Islamic state only by rising above the considerations of Shia, Sunni, Wahabi and Brelvi, etc. Besides, he said that the 1973 constitution was also the result of complete national unity.
He said that the US wanted to build India as regional policeman and was conspiring against this country. In such a situation, it was the duty of the religious leadership to rise above minor differences and unite the nation.
