BSTU confers honorary degree on Baligh ur Rehman

Lahore: Belarusian State Technological University (BSTU) has conferred an honorary degree of doctorate on Minister of State for Education Engr Muhammad Baligh ur Rehman.

The degree has been awarded in recognition of his service in the field of education, especially technical and vocational education.

“I feel extremely privileged and honored to receive the degree from the esteemed university of Belarus (Belarusian State Technological University) today, the minister said.

He said, “It’s a proud moment not only for me but for my entire nation back home in Pakistan. I dedicate this degree to our students, teachers, educationists,scholars and to each and every person of my country.”

Baligh ur Rehman is on a three days visit to Belarus. He has visited Educational Centers of excellence for Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Technologies, and Building Technologies.

He has closely observed the National Skills Organization for vocational and technical skills organized by World Skills organization, which was the great experience in itself.

He said that National Skill Competition has given him an insight to further develop the course of technical and vocational training education in Pakistan.

During a meeting with Education Minister Belarus Mikhail Zhuravkov and Deputy Education Minister Belarus Vadim Bogush, he said, a future roadmap of accelerated steps for facilitating Pakistani students along with the students and faculty exchange programs,in both the countries was agreed.

He said that discounted fee structure for Pakistani students was also agreed with Belarus.

Minister for State thanked the government of Belarus and admired their hospitality. He said that both the countries were enjoying cordial relationship.
