PML-N leadership was not afraid of any accountability:Captain (Retd) Muhammad Safdar

Capt_R_Muhammad_SafdarLahore:  Captain (Retd) Muhammad Safdar has said that hue and cry was being raised on the Panama Leaks issue just to hamper the way of development in the country. He said the PML-N leadership was not afraid of any accountability and challenged if a single penny of corruption was proved against Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif he would be the first one to tender resignation from the House.

He congratulated the people of Peshawar for casting their votes in favour of the PML-N candidate in PK-8 Peshawar bye-elections and said like in 2013 polls the PTI could not deceive the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in this bye polls.

He said the PTI chief had leveled baseless allegations against him and his family for alleged concealment of assets and added that he would file a damage sue worth Rs one billion against Imran Khan in the Supreme Court of Pakistan. He said certain media outlet was resorted for media trial of
elected representatives were under qualified anchor-persons and analysts set together every night and disgrace the politicians. He said the fate of country could not be decided in talk shows.

Challenging PTI chief Imran Khan, Captain Safdar said “Let both resign from our seats and then go for re-election.” He said the PTI chief was making conspiracy against China Pakistan Economic Corridor project as they were against development of the country. He said the PML-N agenda was development of the country and it would win the 2018 elections on its performance.

Meanwhile; Talal Chaudhry said those who made corruption of billions of rupees in the Employees Old-age Benefits Institution (EOBI) should be exposed. He said that former chairman of the EOBI had bought land from Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI)’s Aleem Khan for Rs2.6 billion in Lahore while the current market value of the said land was not more than Rs1.041 billion; thus, the EOBI has suffered a loss of Rs 1.559 billion in one deal alone. He said the Prime Minister would come to the National Assembly and at all proper forums to reply in connection with Panama Leaks issue but added that why the PTI leadership was hesitant from declaring their billions of rupees assets.
