Jamaat-e-Islami suggests three point formula to end the crisis

pic sirajul haqLahore: The central leadership of the Jamaat e Islami, at an emergency meeting at Mansoora on Friday, approved a three point formula to steer the country out of the crisis arising out of the Panama leaks.

It suggested that the government and the opposition should not look for an escape from judicial enquiry into the matter and immediately begin the preparation of agreed ToR’s. Secondly, both sides should join hands to make necessary legislation for the judicial enquiry, and third, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court should constitute a judicial commission for the enquiry as a national obligation in line with the national consensus.

Earlier, while addressing a big Friday congregation at Mansoora mosque, Sirajul Haq warned the rulers in Islamabad that if they did not take up the issue of unlawful trials going on in Bangladesh with the International Court of Justice, Hasina Wajid would demand 163 Pak army men including ex-generals under India’s pressure for so called war crimes trials.

He said that Maulana Moti ur Rahman Nizami’s execution was a great tragedy for the Muslim world but the Pakistan government had not been awakened as yet. The government had not taken any move to stop the execution but had issued a statement of condemnation afterwards.

He said that this was not an issue of the JI but was the issue of the country’s ideology but the government had been totally unconcerned.

Sirajul Haq paid tributes to Turkish President for his efforts to stop the execution of Maulana Nizami and for recalling Turkish ambassador from Bangladesh. This was a message for Pakistan and the entire Muslim world to severe all ties with the country unlawfully penalizing  Islamic movement leaders.  He also thanked the governments of Qatar, Kuwait and Amman who had lodged strong protest over Maulana Nizami’s execution.

The JI chief advised JI workers and sympathizers to remain stead fast in their mission and assured them that  the martyrdom of Maulana Nizami and his associates would strengthen the Islamic movement and hasten the dawn of Islamic revolution.
