Lahore : The Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Punjab would provide internship facilities to the students of Institute of communication Studies (ICS), Punjab University, Lahore. The Internee Students would be deputed to guide and facilitate overseas Pakistani at airports. After the completion of internship, special Certificates would be awarded to internee students.
In this connection, a delegation of students from ICS Punjab University visited the head office of OPC Punjab, here today. Vice Chairman OPC Shaheen Khalid Butt and Commissioner Afzaal Bhatti welcomed the members of the delegation and gave a detailed briefing about the working and performance of OPC.
They informed the delegation that on the special instructions of Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif, OPC is playing an active role to redress the complaints of overseas Pakistanis regarding govt agencies of the province.
Vice Chairman and Commissioner OPC told the delegation that for speedy disposal of complaints of Overseas Pakistanis an IT based system has been devised and all proceedings regarding redressal of complaints are uploaded on web portal regularly and overseas Pakistanis can contact OPC for redressal of their complaints round the clock.
A question-answer session was also held on this occasion. Members of the delegation visited various sections of OPC later on.
