Lahore: A representative delegation of All Pakistan Clerks Association Punjab (APCA) led by its President Haji Muhammad Irshad Chaudhry called on Additional Chief Secretary Punjab Shamail Ahmad Khawaja and presented its charter of demands.
Speaking on the occasion, Additional Chief Secretary said that genuine rights to low-paid employees should be given to them without protest and strikes. He said that government believes in respect to all.
Additional Chief Secretary announced to constitute a 3-member special committee headed by Provincial Secretary Finance Shaukat Ali for detailed review of demands of APCA and notification has been issued in this regard. Secretary Regulations Punjab Dr. Saleh Tahir and Secretary Services Punjab Farhan Aziz Khawaja have been nominated as members of the committee.
Additional Chief Secretary informed the delegation that prior to formal demands by APCA, he has already issued directions to Provincial Benevolent Fund Board to send a detailed plan for enhancing the grants of government employees for government approval.
The delegation included President APCA Lahore Division Lala Muhammad Aslam, General Secretary Abu Huraira, senior vice president Muhammad Waseem Khan, Zulfiqar Ali Bhatti besides President APCA Public Relations Unit Muhammad Tasawar Chaudhry and General Secretary Chaudhry Mushtaq Ali were present on the occasion.
