Lahore: Secretary General, Jamaat e Islami, Liaqat Baloch, has said that even the Dubai leaks did not mention the name of any religious party or religious leader while the corruption of those planning to secularize the country had been fully exposed.
Addressing a special meeting of the religious parties representatives at Syed Maudoodi Institute on Monday, he said that the rulers were currently facing divine wrath and they should bow before Him and seek forgiveness for their sins.
The meeting reviewed the arrangements for the Nizam e Mustafa Conference being held at Arts Council, Rawalpindi on May 16.
The JI Secretary General said that the secular elements had been ridiculing Islam, the Ulema, and the mosques. He said that the religious parties were on the same page as against the secular elements and the western powers and they were determined to defend Islam, Islamic signs and rituals and the Islamic civilization as also the Islamic provisions of the constitution.
Liaqat Baloch said that the colonial powers were attacking Islam, the Holy Quran and the personality of the Holy Prophet from time to time in one way of the other. However, he said, that the religious parties leadership had vowed not to allow any attempt to undermine the Islamic identity of the country or any amendment in the laws relating to the Khatme Nubuwat or the Blasphemy Law.
Besides, he said, the religious leadership planned to intensify pressure on the rules for the abolition of the interest based economic system and corruption.
The JI central leader deplored that the recent OIC meeting had failed to adopt any line of action for the solution of issues of Kashmir, Palestine, Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan nor there was any move for the unity of the Muslim world.
