Lahore: Additional Chief Secretary Punjab, Shumail Ahmad Khawaja has instructed the District Administration of entire province to redress the complaints of overseas Pakistanis regarding Government agencies of the province on priority basis and for this purpose, meetings of district overseas committees be held fortnightly.
He issued these instructions while presiding over the meeting of Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Punjab. Commissioner OPC Afzaal Bhatti, Director General Nadeem Sarwar, Additional DG (Police Matters)/DIG Cap(R) Ahmed Mubeen were present on this occasion, while District and Police high ups of Multan and DG Khan districts participated through video link.
Additional Chief Secretary instructed that proceedings regarding redressal of complaints of overseas Pakistanis be uploaded on OPC web portal regularly. Commissioner Afzaal Bhatti gave a detailed briefing about the working of OPC and The mechanism of redressal of complaints. Shumail Ahmad Khawaja also instructed the management of Multan and DG Khan Districts that for quick disposal of revenue related cases of overseas Pakistanis, meeting be held on weekly basis.
Different complaints of overseas Pakistanis also came under discussion during the meeting.
