Lahore: Director General Wildlife & Parks Punjab Khalid Ayaz Khan has said that permission has been sought from Planning & Development Department for re-appropriation of five crore and 48 lakh rupees for its utilization on other projects. He said that granting of permission will help complete three pending projects.
He was presiding over a special meeting with regard to Annual Development Programme at his office, here today. Deputy Director Headquarters Naeem Bhatti and other concerned officers were present on this occasion. Khalid Ayaz Khan said that there is a proposal to re-appropriate funds of four crore 90 lakh rupees for the completion of incomplete projects in wildlife and forest sectors.
He further said that Wildlife & Parks Punjab has also proposed to surrender a sum of Rs.8 crore 58 lakh and 15 thousand. The major chunk of this amount was allocated for salaries, allowances and other expenditure. He said that this amount was more than the sum required for annual needs of the department and has been returned so as to save it from financial mismanagement and lapse.
