Lahore: Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs & Human Rights Khalil Tahir Sandhu has said that students should utilize all their time and energies on their education so as to play their due role in development of the country.
He said this while delivering a special lecture to students at FC College University, here today. Dr. Christi Munir was also present on the occasion.
Khalil Tahir Sandhu apprised the students of the steps taken by Punjab government for welfare of minorities and promotion of education. He said that government has allocated five percent quota for minorities in government jobs.
He said that deserving students are not only being given scholarship but they are also being sent abroad for studies. The Minister also threw light on the role of minorities in Pakistan Movement and later in the development of the country. He stressed upon the students to spend their time on positive activities
