Shahbaz Sharif laids foundation stone of Manawan Hospital

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif laid the foundation stone of Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in Manawan, today. The Chief Minister directed to construct 100-bed hospital instead of 60-bed and work should be completed at the earliest by working day and night.He thanked Federal Minister for Information Pervaiz Rashid for cooperation in acquiring land for the project of construction of the hospital.Shahbaz Sharif

Addressing the function, the Chief Minister said that project of construction of hospital is a gift for the people residing in border area. He said this is not a favour but their right and he has come to return them their right, as there is lack of best treatment facilities for the residents of Wahga Border, Batapur and Manawan. He said that there was a dire need of the hospital in the area for a long time.

Announcing construction of a 100-bed hospital, Shahbaz Sharif said that he will personally monitor the construction work and this hospital will be completed by March 23 next year.

He directed concerned authorities that it should be the best hospital of Pakistan where best doctors, paramedical staff and modern machinery should be available. Best hospital will be handed over to the residents of border areas, he added.

The Chief Minister said that although, there is some delay in construction of the hospital but concerned authorities should made up this delay by working round the clock.

Shahbaz Sharif said that today Imran Khan is taking out a rally not against the government but himself because Jehangir Tareen and Abdul Aleem Khan got their loans written off and grabbed lands and their off-shore companies have also come fore.

The Chief Minister said he accepts the challenge of damages notice for ten billion rupees and added that this amount will be recovered from looters and spent on the welfare of the poor. He said that getting loans written off is a serious crime but despite it, they travel by aero-planes, live in palaces and are owners of lands. First, they asked for accountability and when the time of accountability reached then they are trying to escape it.

He said that strict accountability of every one will be held in the real sense and he has come out under the leadership of partly president against corruption as looters of national wealth have ruined the country. He said time has come to recover this wealth and the loans got written off. He said those demanding of their turn want to attack the country but conscious people of Pakistan will foil their designs.

The audience raised slogans against loan defaulters and grabbers. Advisor Health Kh. Salman Rafique, Members National and Provincial Assembly, Provincial Authorities and a large number of people were present on the occasion.

Secretary Communication & Works gave a briefing to the Chief Minister about the project of construction of the hospital.
