Lahore: Chairman of the United International Group Mian Shahid on Sunday said media trial of national leaders in presence of accountability mechanism and a judicial commission is unfortunate.
Unnecessary political struggle over the issue of Panama Leaks is damaging the economy and eroding the confidence of investors which country cannot afford at this critical time.
Talking to the business community, he said that the controversy is pushing country towards political and economic instability that can hit developmental agenda and damage vital projects.
Mian Shahid said that demand of resignation from the Prime Minister by some quarters seems immature. He said that government and army are on the same page after a long time resulting in improved law and order situation. Moreover, power projects are bring completed while sick units are being sold which has restored confidence of investors.
