Wildlife Squad Jhelum caught two men with Urial lambs

Urial Sumagglers in police custodyLahore: A raiding committee headed by District Wildlife Officer Tanvir Janjua constituted by Director General Wildlife & Parks Punjab Khalid Ayaz Khan has arrested two persons Asghar Bagheri and Javed Iqbal along with two Urial lambs.

According to details, District Wildlife Squad Jhelum has got confidential information that last night some persons will go to sell Urial lambs from Jambar Gaal to Jhelum upon which Inspector Banaris Ali, Watcher Waqas Sharif, Haroon and driver Arif have set up a check post and signaled to stop a suspected pick up at Nathowala at 2.00 am but after failing to stop it, accused Asghar Baghri and Javed Iqbal were traced and arrested and two Urial lambs were recovered.

The accused were presented before the court of senior Civil Judge Sheikh Anwar. The court has imposed fine Rs.25000 to the driver of the pickup whereas other accused were ordered to send to jail by issuing orders to appear before court on May 12, 2016. The accused have confessed that they were going to sell Urial lambs to Jhelum.

Director General Wildlife & Parks Punjab Khalid Ayaz Khan while announcing to award commendatory certificates to the raiding team on their outstanding performance said that honest officers and officials are pride of the department and they will be encouraged at all level.
