Wheat procurement by Government starts in Mandi Bahauddin

Mandi Bahauddin(Sher Gondal) : Wheat procurement by Government has started in Mandi district. Food Controller has set up wheat procurement centers at Mandi Bhauddin, Jano Chak, Bherowal, Qadirabad, Gojra and Malkwal where distribution of gunny bags would be made to farmers.

DCO Muzaffar Sial accompanied by ACs visited the procurement centers and inspected arrangement made there. He also met farmers who had come to get gunny bags and asked them to bring to his knowledge any difficulty they face in receiving gunny bags as per their demand as well as supplying wheat.

Procurement target for wheat this year has been fixed as .6 million bags of hundred KG each. However some farmers complained for starting wheat procurement and distribution of gunny bags with delay.
