Lahore: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday said the government believed in serving the masses and urged upon the Members National Assembly (MNAs) of his party to work hard for the welfare of people.
The Prime Minister expressed these views in separate meetings with Pakistan Muslim League-N’s MNAs including Babar Nawaz Khan (NA-119), Syed Muhammad Saqlain Bukhari (NA-182) and Malik Sultan Mehmood Hanjra (NA-176), here a the PM House.
The Prime Minister said he was focused on solving the problems suffering the country and expressed hope that with Allah’s help, the country would make a come back in the comity of nations.
About China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), Nawaz Sharif said the project would change the destiny of the people of Pakistan and would usher in an era of economic revolution.
He said some people with their undue criticism wanted to create hurdle in the government’s journey to development, and added that such elements would remain unsuccessful.
Prime Minister’s Political Assistant Dr Asif Kirmani was also present in the meetings.
Meanwhile; Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz on Tuesday postponed his visit to Neelum Jhelum and Danna in Azad Kashmir due to bad weather.
A PM Office statement said the Prime Minister had to return midway due to sudden change in weather.
The Prime Minister was scheduled to review work progress at Neelum Jhelum hydel project and distribute compensation cheques in Danna among the people affected by rains and landslide.
Due to change in programme, President of Pakistan Muslim League (N) in Azad Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider Khan distributed cheques among the affected people on behalf of the Prime Minister.
