NCJP Condemns the Murder of Sardar Soran Singh MPA PTI, KPK

Lahore: The National Commission for Justice and Peace has condemned the murder of Special Advisor to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sardar Soran Singh near Pir Baba, Buner District.

NCJP, a rights based organization of the Pakistan Catholic Bishops’ Conference, strongly condemned the target killing of political leaders from minority community. The commission stands strong with the Sikh community on the loss of a visionary political representative.

Chairperson NCJP, His Excellency Msgr. Dr. Joseph Arshad, Bishop of Faisalabad and National Director, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Yousaf Mani said in a joint statement that ‘targeted killing of political representatives is unacceptable. Our condolences and prayers go out to the family of the deceased. The human rights situation in Pakistan is alarming. Despite, the Judiciary’s directives and the National Plan Action, the religious minorities are still unsafe. It is necessary for the government to take necessary action to provide safety and security for religious minorities’.

The commission further pleaded the government to bring the perpetrators to justice.
