A 16-year-old girl died after falling from the rooftop of Hospitality Inn hotel

Lahore: A 16-year-old girl died after falling from the rooftop of Hospitality Inn hotel. The grief-stricken father said his daughter did not commit suicide but she died accidentally.

The resident of DG Khan , Dr Tariq Mehmood along with his wife and two daughters was staying in the hotel to attend a three-day conference. The room was booked by a pharmaceutical company. Police investigators say they believe the victim Labreb Tariq died accidentally. Therefore, the police handed over the body to the family without autopsy.

Initial investigations revealed the girl was playing with her younger sister alongside a swimming pool on the sixth floor of the hotel shortly after they had a breakfast.
According to cops Qaiser Iftikhar, as the girl tried to climb the five feet high boundary wall, all of a sudden, she fell down on the ground from the sixth floor. The girl was immediately rushed to the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, where she was received dead.
