UoE organizes a seminar on “Trends of Literature and Linguistics in Pakistan”

UoE Vice Chancellor Prof.Dr.Rauf-i-AzamLahore: In collaboration with University of Education and Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) organized a seminar on “Trends of Literature and Linguistics in Pakistan” at Bank Road Campus, Lahore. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam presided the seminar while Director, Human Resource Department, Punjab HEC Mussa Hassan participated as guest of honor. The basic objective of the seminar was to aware students about the latest trends, approaches and other related concepts of Pakistan literature and linguistics.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam, in his address said that literature and linguistics of any country are considered a source of an identity among nations. Pakistan literature and linguistics has a great importance in world due to its unique features and characteristics. Actually it is a mirror of any society in which shades of social life can easily be studied.

Earlier, PU English Department Chairperson Dr. Amara Raza and Dr. M. Islam threw light on literary trends and linguistics of Pakistan. They briefly explained the different approaches and parameters regarding literature and linguistics. Director, Human Resource Department, Punjab HEC Mussa Hassan admired the efforts of administration on arranging such an informative seminar and stressed to continue such healthy activities in future. Principal Bank Road Campus Samina Naheed, Fariha Yasmeen, Hira Kazmi, Sidra Shafi, faculty members and a large number of students were present at occasion.
