Lahore: Ambassador of Pakistan Muhammad Imran Mirza to the Republic of Senegal has presented his
credentials to President Senegal Macky Sall in Dakar.
During a ceremony held in the Presidential Palace, the ambassador presented his Letters of Credence to the President of Senegal Macky Sall who accredited him as ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
Ambassador Imran Mirza on behalf of the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan conveyed his best wishes to the President, his government and the people of Senegal, said a press release on Saturday. He also expressed his desire to work for further strengthening of relations between the both countries.
President of Senegal Macky Sall appreciated the friendly ties between the two countries by reciprocating
the warm feelings for the Government and people of Pakistan.He fondly remembered his meetings with Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif in New York and Saudi Arabia.
In addition to defence procurement, the President also expressed desire to seek Pakistan’s assistance in agriculture sector and higher education.
Accepting Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s invitation to visit Pakistan, President Sall hinted at possibility of visiting the country in the near future.
The ambassador also presented a hand-made Pakistani carpet to the President.
