Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League Punjab General Secretary Ch Zaheeruddin and other leaders have pledged to offer every sacrifice for the honour, solidarity and prestige of Pakistan and will not hesitate shedding last drop of the blood for this purpose.
Addressing a seminar on the Pakistan Day at the Muslim League House here today, they said that they have to see whether the objectives for which our elders had offered sacrifices have been achieved, Pakistan will not be complete till liberation of Kashmir for this, people of Pakistan will continue their full support for the right of self-determination of the Kashmiri people.
They said that the present rulers are not following the saying of the Quaid-i-Azam, PML is the only party which has always supported the minorities and the govt of Ch Parvez Elahi in the Punjab did ideal works for the welfare and well-being of the people without any discrimination. They said that billions of rupees of the poor people are being wasted by the rulers on show off projects and their luxuries.
Ch Zaheeruddin said that he has say regretfully that we have not got ourselves recognized as an independent nation, under leadership of Ch Shujat Hussain and Ch Parvez Elahi we will continue struggle for solving the national and peoples’ problems for making Pakistan as visualized by the Quaid-i-Azam. He saluted the martyrs of Pakistan Movement and to the armed forces for their great services in defending the geographical frontiers and internal security of the country.
He said why the rulers are insisting on the Women’s Protection bill whereas we have with us the law of the Our Nabi (Salalhu Alehy Wassalam), why it is not enforced. Ch Zaheeruddin said why the elimination of curse of dowry bill not got passed by the Punjab Assembly instead of the Women’s Protection Bill.
He said we have to transform Pakistan into a paradise, we have also to pledge today we have to turn Pakistan into minaret of light whom entire world should see with due respect.
MPA and Organizer Women Wing PML Punjab Khdaeeja Umar Farooqui said that in the history of Pakistan only during the tenure in power of PML people were served in real meaning, women’s prestige restored and they were given representation in every sphere of life.
Engineer Shehzad Elahi said that the promises which the Quaid-i-Azam had made with the minorities were practically fulfilled by Ch Shujat Hussain and Ch Parvez Elahi.
Seminar was also addressed by Mian Muhammad Munir, Alamgir advocate, Amna Ulfat, Sheikh Umar Hayat and Shehzad Ahmad Mughul while it was participated by PML leaders Dr Azeemuddin Zahid Lakhvi, Col (R) Mohammad Abbas, Bilal Mustafa Sheerazi Sajjad Baloch, Majida Zaidi, Kanwal Nasim, Nasir Ramzan Gujjar, Sohail Cheema, Qaiser Rasheed, Rana Istikhar, Sh Omar and office-bearers and workers in large number.
