Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League President and former Prime Minister Ch Shujaat Hussain, senior central leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Ch Pervaiz Elahi and Moonis Elahi have said that everything is linked with existence of Pakistan, Pakistan Movement like spirit is direly needed for effectively combating internal and external threats and challenges to Pakistan and practicing the principles of Unity, Faith and Discipline of the Founder of Pakistan is demand of the time.
In their messages on the Pakistan Day, they said for accomplishing the objectives of creation of Pakistan all will have to struggle together, giving preference to national solidarity and security, to make Pakistan economically, defence-wise and ideologically strong and impregnable country by eliminating poverty, backwardness, unemployment and illiteracy.
They said on this day in this Lahore Muslims of the sub-continent had pledged to create a separate homeland for themselves under the leadership of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and only in seven years Pakistan had emerged on the world map because our elders had sunk all their differences and struggled jointly with national spirit for the establishment of Pakistan which was successful. They said whatever including national identity and prestige everyone has now is because of Pakistan.
The PML leaders further said being the inherited party of the Quaid-i-Azam Pakistan Muslim League (PML) is duty bound to play the vanguard role for making Pakistan prosperous and developed country and all had seen that during our short tenure in the govt we had taken ideal and historical measures in this regard. They said everyone should keep national interests over and above their personal, political and party interests and should not hesitate in offering any sacrifice for the motherland. They appreciably mentioned the sacrifices of the armed forces in this regard and said that the motherland demands effective and ideal role from the younger generation.
