SHO Civil Line Police Inspector Zahoor Rana for violating court orders

Mandi Bahauddin(Sher Gondal): SHO Civil Line Police Inspector Zahoor Rana is booked for violation pre-arrest bail order. According to details an accused in a criminal case relating to body injuries sought interim bail from the court of ASJ Muhammad Iqbal Haral and submitted Robkar to Investigation Officer Sub Inspector Mehdi at the police station.

Without paying any consideration to the Robkar, the Investigation Officer with a police party raided house of the accused at night and entered it. He arrested the accused in front of his family members and then subjected him to physical torture.

There after he took him to the police station on vehicle where he again tortured the accused and put him in lock up. The accused pleaded that he was on interim bail on which the IO allegedly torn the Robkar in pieces, saying he did not care for such robkar.Next morning relatives of the accused submitted application to the court of ASJ for recovery of the detenue from  police illegal detention.

The court sent a party of two bailiffs who after recovering from police detention produced the detenue before the court with copy of their proceedings. The court after listening to parties and perusal of the record directed the DPO for registering a case against the SHO.

Raja Basharat Mahmood DPO Mandi Bahauddin has been demoted to rank of Inspector vide orders of the supreme court for his out of turn promotion to the present rank but he is one of three DPOs who in sheer violation of the orders of the Supreme Court are still working as DPOs.

In view of this it is not sure whether the DPO register case against the accused SHO or violate the orders.
