Lahore: Provincial Minister for Education, Sports & Youth Affairs Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan has said that two representatives each of private schools associations from all over the province are mentioned for resolving the matter of increase in fees by private educational institutions. In this way, with the consultation of a 10-member committee and in the light of their proposals, this problem will be resolved on permanent basis.
He expressed these views during a meeting with a representative delegation of private schools association at DCO Office Sargodha today.
The Minister said that unprecedented increase in the fees by private educational institutions is unjustified. He said that Punjab government is determined for ensuring quality education. He said that private educational institutions have great role in quality education.
Rana Mashhood directed EDO Education to seek proposals from every member assembly for setting up of school and college in their constituency and submit to him so that such proposals of parliamentarians could be included in ADP of next financial year.
He also directed to increase number of computers for Girls Degree College Block No. 23 and elimination of encroachments outside the college.
The Minister assured conduction of survey for conservation of heritage of ancient building of Government Ambala Muslim High School. He said that the historical building of Government Ambala Muslim High School should be conserved as a historical heritage after its beautification so that the citizens could benefit from this historical asset.
The Minister directed Divisional Sports Officer to immediately purchase cover for making pitches of Sargodha Stadium safe, to make sports complex operational and complete repair and renovation of Sahiwal Stadium. He also assured to remove difficulties in the way of setting up of Sports Complex Kot Momin.
Later, the Minister visited Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education Sargodha. Chairman Board Prof. Dr. Saraj-ul-Haq, Secretary Farah Naaz, Controller Examinations Liaqat Ali Naveed as well as officers and staff of Information Technology sector were present on the occasion.
The Minister also visited different departments of the board. He said that third party audit of all the boards of the province will be conducted.
