JI holds a massive Tahafuz Namoos-e- Resalaat march in Karachi

Siraj ul HaqLahore: Jamaat-e-Islami held a massive Tahafuz Namoos-e- Resalaat march against the execution of Mumtaz Qadri and attempts to repeal the blasphemy laws and announced to launch a country wide drive against the ruling regime and nefarious conspiracy to melt down the blasphemy laws as per the desires of anti Islam forces.

Tens of thousands of people from all walks of life participated in the march. They were carrying placards and banners inscribed with the slogans against the government, execution of Mumtaz Qadri and attempts to repeal blasphemy laws.

Grandson of Ghazi Abdul Qayoum also participated in the event.

Medical and reception camps were also set up on the spot. Special areas were also designated for parking of vehicles.

Amir Senator Seraj-ul-Haq while addressing the march, paid rich tribute to Mumtaz Qadri and said that Qadri has delivered a clear message through sacrificing his life that Muslim Umma is still alive and no attempt to safeguard blasphemers would be tolerated.

He recalled that the then Musharraf led government had tried to tone down the arrival and funeral of Aamir Chima but all the nefarious tactics had been foiled by masses. He was of the view that same saga is being repeated.

The JI Amir said that Nawaz Sharif has placed himself in the category of traitors and said that no one, including United States would be able to safeguard all those who participated in hanging of Qadri. He termed the government and all those involved as cursed.

Haq said that the founders of Muslim League had defended the killers of blasphemers but unfortunately now the high ups have adopted a u-turn. He said that the PML-N led government has thought that they hanged Qadri but indeed each and every child of the nation would follow the footprints of Mumtaz Qadri.

He congratulated Karachiites and said that the city proved toady that the residents of Karachi stand together with the lovers and followers of the Holy Prophet (SAW), not with the agents of foreign governments and international monitory institutions.

Further talking about the present government, he said that terrorism charges should also be applicable against the corrupt rulers.

On the occasion, he announced that the march is the beginning of a great movement and Tahfuz-e-Nammos Resalat marches would also be held in Hyderabad, Sukkur, Nawab Shah, Lahore and other parts of Punjab as well as KP and Balochistan.

JI Karachi chief Engr. Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman said that the spirit of people surfaced in Rawalpindi on the occasion of funeral prayers, has reached in Karachi and is spreading across the country.

He warned Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif not to touch the blasphemy laws otherwise he himself would become an worst example.

The JI leader said that unfortunately the ruling regime put their weight behind blasphemers.

He criticized the media houses and Pemra for their bias attitude towards the forces supporting the blasphemy laws and struggling for the honour of the Holy Prophet (SAW).

JI Sindh Amir Dr. Meraj-ul-Huda Siddiqui said that in 1929 Quaid-e-Azam was the lawyer of Ghazi Alam Din who had killed a blasphemer and Allama Iqbal had received his body after the British Viceroy hanged him and now today the nation is stood where Quaid was standing but unfortunately Nawaz Sharif led government has adopted the stance of British Viceroy.

Tahfauz Khatm-e-Naboot Tehreek’s Karachi chief Molana Aejaz Mustaf, Islami Jamiat Talaba Karachi chief Hashim yousaf Abdali, Molana Azmatullah Shah Hamdani, Sahabzada Ahmed-ur-Rehman JUI (S), JUP’s Siddique Rathore, TI Karachi chief Shujauddin Shaikh, Islami Tehreek’s Allama Nazir Abbas Taqvi and JuD’s Dr. Muhammad Muzamil also addressed on the occasion.
