Land record computerization center inaugurated at Khushab

Lahore: Provincial Minister for Forests Malik Muhammad Asif Bha has said that Punjab government has computerized land record in a very transparent manner due to which corruption resulting from Patwar culture has been eliminated.

He said that now owners of the land will be able to easily get ownership deed or documents of purchase and sale and transfer of land or ownership record from land record computerized centers set up in 143 tehsils of Punjab.

He expressed these views while addressing inaugural ceremony of land record computerizing center at Tehsil office Khushab. Federal Chairman Advisory Committee and MNA Malik Shakir Bashir Awan, DCO Zia-ur-Rehman, Tehsildar, Revenue Officers and other officers were present on the occasion.

The Minister said that new building of tehsil office will be constructed at Khushab on the demand of the people. Malik Bashir Shakir MNA said that through computerization of land record, the Chief Minister has rid the people of corruption and irregularities in the affairs relating to land.

DCO Khushab Zia-ur-Rehman briefed the Minister in detail about land record computerization. He said that this step of Punjab is commendable. He paid tributes to Punjab Chief Minister on the launching of this new system. It was told in the function that under this system a landowner will be able to get free of cost ownership deed in 30 minutes while process of transfer and verification will be completed in 15 minutes. It was told that VIP culture has been eliminated through setting up of land record centers.

Free call facility is also being provided regarding the complaints besides separate counters have been arranged for women and elderly persons. It was told that separate project of computerization of urban villages will be started from June 30 this year.

Earlier, Provincial Minister Malik Asif Bha, MNA Malik Shakir Bashir Awan and DCO Zia-ur-Rehman inaugurated land record computerization center and inspected computerization process.
