Lahore: DIG Ops Dr Haider Ashraf has suspended 6 cops for harassing citizens.The citizen Syed Mudassar Shah lodged a complaint on Lahore Police Whatsapp service that he was passing by Mozang with his relative when they were harassed and misbehaved by six cops on a police van.
On receiving the complaint,the DIG Ops directed SP Iqbal Town Dr Muhammad Iqbal to hold an inquiry who reported that the cops posted at different six police stations Gulam Nabi,Umar Hayat,Muhammad Arshad ,Akram Ullah,Muhammad Arshad and Muhammad Asif unnecessarily stopped the law abiding citizens and misbehaved them,they proved guilty in the inquiry.
The DIG Dr Haider Ashraf suspended all the six cops and also gave commendatory certificates and cash reward of 5 thousands each to the Whatsapp staff members namely Kaleem Ullah and Muhammad Shahid for performing their duty in a good manner.
