Lahore: Director General Sports Punjab Usman Anwar said there is no paucity of talent in Pakistan children. They just need to be groomed properly. Pakistan can earn a respectable status in the world if our people work as a nation; he was addressing the annual prize distribution ceremony of a local school at Al-Hamra Punjabi Complex in Nishtar Park Sports Complex on Saturday.
Little school students presented bouquet to him upon his arrival in the complex. School Director Nadeem Ahmed, Seemi Nadeem and Principal Mehwish were also present on this occasion.
DG SBP Usman Anwar said Pakistani children are far ahead as far as potential is concerned. “We just need to give them confidence and proper guidance,” he added.
He said extra-curriculum activities also played key role in bringing out the hidden talent in young students. “Sports is also very essential alongside education. Sports activities are indispensable for good health,” he explained.
“Sports Board Punjab provided Pakistan youth a suitable platform in the shape of Punjab Youth Festival and millions of youth demonstrated their sports potential in Punjab Youth Festival,” he maintained.
DG SBP also praised the different items presented by school students. He also urged the students to focus on your study.
The students also performed tableau and presented speeches on this occasion. Later, DG SBP Usman Anwar distributed prizes among the prominent students.
