Academic Staff Associations condemns misbehavior with VC Islamia University Bahawalpur

Lahore: The Punjab University Academic Staff Association and Government College University Lahore Academic Staff Association have strongly condemned the reported incident of misbehavior by a minister and his supporters with the vice-chancellor and staff members of Islamia University Bahawalpur.

In a press statement on Thursday, PUASA President Prof Dr Sajid Rashid, Secretary Dr Mahboob Hussain, GCU ASA President Prof Dr Riaz Ahmad and General Secretary Nouman Qureshi termed the unfortunate incident a direct violation of the sanctity of universities.

They believed that respect of teachers should not only be preached but also must be practiced by the all segments of the society.
