Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf s central leader Ch Muhammad Sarwar has said the rulers’ threats to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is a sheer defiance of country constitution and law and the Supreme Court must take notice.
He said the PML-N had become a symbol of corruption and looting of national wealth and added that Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif should present himself for accountability instead of hurling threats to the NAB.
Addressing different party delegations , Ch Muhammad Sarwar said the Punjab rulers were afraid of NAB since it started probing corruption and taking action against the corrupt. He said the rulers were these days pre-occupied thinking about NAB.
He said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif began threatening NAB and now Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif continuing threatening the bureau. He demanded that the Supreme Court of Pakistan should take notice of the prime minister and chief minister’s rants against the NAB and take strict action against them accountry to country’s constitutions and law.
Ch Sarwar said the corrupt in Punjab must not be let scot free and instead strict action be taken against them and looted wealth be recovered.
