Lahore: Special teams constituted by Director General Wildlife & Parks Punjab, Khalid Ayaz Khan for checking illegal hunting and smuggling of birds and Honorary Game Warden Punjab Shah Rukh Butt in a joint action have received Rs.92000 as departmental fine from seven persons.
According to details, Honorary Game Warden Punjab Shah Rukh Butt and officers of Wildlife Department during joint action at Behri Jangle Shakargarh has received Rs. 60 thousand from five persons Zubair Ali s/o Ghulam Sarwar, Shakeel Ahmed s/o Muhammad Rafique, Haji Irshad s/o of Muhammad Shafi, Ilyas s/o of Mehr Din and Ishtiaq s/o Nawaz for illegal hunting while Rs. 10 thousand as departmental fine from a person Muhammad Ramzan involved in illegal hunting of birds through net.
In another case, officers of Wildlife Department Jawad Awan and Muhammad Younis with the help of custom authorities took action against one Syed Rifat Hussain s/o Syed Talat Hussain r/o Ratta Virkan, Rawalpindi for importing 39 Budgerigars without permit from Britain to Lahore and received Rs.22000 as departmental fine from the accused.
