Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif went to residences of police constable Muhammad Asif who was martyred due to firing at a police picket in Allama Iqbal Town and two real brothers Bahadur Ali and Safdar Ali who were murdered in Samanabad.Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq was also present on the occasion.
The Chief Minister expressed affection with the children of Shaheed Constable Muhammad Asif and sister and brother of Safdar Ali, Bahadur Ali and talked to them. He also carried the children of Shaheed Constable in his lap and expressed love and consoled the mother and widow of Shaheed Constable.
He expressed sympathies and condolences with the aggrieved families. The Chief Minister announced provision of free houses to the widow of Shaheed Constable Muhammad Asif and the mother of the deceased brothers as well as complete support the children. He went to residence of Shaheed constable Muhammad Asif in Bhatti Park Ichhra and extended sympathies with the bereaved family as well as prayed for the departed soul.
He announced provision of a free of cost house to the widow of Shaheed constable on behalf of Punjab government besides gave a cheque of financial assistance of Rs. 50 lakh rupees to the widow.
Talking to the mother and widow of constable Muhammad Asif, the Chief Minister said that Punjab government will support the children of the martyred constable as well as bear their educational expenses. He also paid tributes to the sacrifice of Constable Muhammad Asif and said that martyrs are the heroes of the nation and their sacrifices cannot be forgotten.
He said that the whole nation is proud of sacrifice of Constable Muhammad Asif. He also consoled the mother and widow of Shaheed Constable.
Later, Shehbaz Sharif went to the residence of two real brothers Safdar Ali and Bahadur Ali in Samanabad who were killed due to firing a short time ago. He sympathized with the mother of the deceased brothers and their family. He said that the four accused nominated in the case have been arrested and promised that demands of justice will be fulfilled.
Shahbaz Sharif announced a free house to the mother of Bahadur Ali and Safdar Ali in Aashiyana and also gave her a cheque of financial assistance of ten lakh rupees. He announced that Punjab government will also bear the educational expenses of the brothers and sisters of the deceased as well as extend full support to them.
The Chief Minister directed CCPO Lahore to present the challan of the case and said that he will personally monitor the progress in this regard. He also offered Fateha for deceased brethren. Expressing sympathies with the mother and other family members, he assured that justice will be provided.
On insistence by Chief Minister, the younger brother of Bahadur Ali and Safdar Ali told that he wants to become a police officer.
The Chief Minister advised the children to pay full attention to their education and Punjab government will extend all out cooperation in this regard.
