The joint Investigation Team starts formal investigation of Pathankot Terror attack

Lahore: The joint Investigation Team constituted for Pathankot Terror attack has started formal investigation after registration of the FIR. The JIT has said that investigation would be made on merit and any accused found involved in the offence will be brought to trial in accordance with law.

Mind it that Counter Terrorism Department, Punjab Police has registered a case against the alleged attackers of Pathankot Airbase India & their alleged abettors belonging to a Proscribed Organisation in Police Station CTD Gujranwala under the provisions of Pakistan Penal Code & Anti Terrorism Act vide FIR No. 06/2016 u/s 302, 324, 109 PPC & 7, 21-I ATA 1997, dated 18-02-2016.

Meanwhile;Counter Terrorism Department has arrested a member of a banned outfit with explosive material from Peeko Road Pindi Stop,Kot Lakhpat Lahore.The accused Rashid mehmood @ dhol s/o Hari khan r/o Khara PS Sadar Distt.Kasur.A FIR 12/16 has been registered with CTDT police station U/S: 4/5 ESA, 11F(2), 7ATA.
