Lahore: Provincial Minister for Education Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan has said that every person will have to discharge his duty honestly for fulfilling the demands of Nazaria-e-Pakistan. He said that instead of wasting time by criticizing others we will have to adopt the habit of self accountability. He said that democracy, equality, economic development, justice and adopting modern arts are vital for progress of Pakistan.
He expressed these views while addressing Annual Nazaria-e-Pakistan Conference under the aegis of Nazaria-e-Pakistan Trust, today. Chairman Nazaria-e-Pakistan Trust Rafique Ahmed Tarar presided over the function. Dr. Rafique Ahmed, Shahid Rasheed and leaders of Pakistan Movement Workers Trust and a large number of citizens were present on the occasion.
Rana Mashhood said that present government is completing maximum development projects transparently in the history of Pakistan. He said that according to reports of Transparency International, graph of corruption has come down which is a clear proof to good governance of PML-N government. He said those criticizing CPEC project do not know that they are becoming a hurdle in the way of development of the country.
He said that development process started in every developed country including America from expansion of railway tracks and other means of communication. Such projects were also criticized but they became successful like metro bus through which about 1.5 lakh persons travel daily and people became prosperous, he added.
Rana Mashhood said that government is implementing short, medium and long term projects for the development of the country. He said that job opportunities will be created for 25 lakh people in Pakistan as a result of CPEC project while 22 lakh skilled labour workers will be needed in Gulf countries during next three years.
He said that we will have to move ahead by keeping in view the requirements at national and international level in economic planning. He said that education, health and infrastructure are basic priorities of the government especially education sector has become a focus point for the entire government machinery including Prime Minister and Chief Minister Punjab.
He said that Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif paid a visit to school and expressed seriousness in this regard. He said that the only way to progress of the country is hard work. Justice Rafique Tarar, Dr. Rafique Ahmed, and other Muslim League leaders also spoke on the occasion.
