Chinese Consul General Yu Born calls on CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif

Lahore: Chinese Consul General Yu Born met Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, here today and discussed matters of mutual interest and promotion of bilateral relations.

Talking to Chinese Consul General, the Chief Minister said that Pak-China friendship has converted into strong economic relations. He said that the ties of both the countries during present tenure of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif are touching new heights. He said that Chinese leadership and government have supported Pakistan in every hour of trail.

Shahbaz Sharif said that due to 46 billion dollars investment by China will strengthen Pakistan’s economy. He said that the entire region including Pakistan will benefit from China Pakistan Economic Corridor. He said that under CPEC, investment of 36 billion dollars is being made in energy projects and these projects are being set up in all units of Pakistan.

The Chief Minister said that after completion of energy projects, darkness will be removed and energy crisis will be overcome with the cooperation of friendly country China. He said there will be huge investment in the country after resolution of energy problem.

Speaking on the occasion, Chinese Consul General Yu Born said that everlasting friendship exists between Pakistan and China. He said that economic cooperation between both the countries is increasing speedily.  He said that under the leadership of Shehbaz Sharif, Punjab has made tremendous progress.
