General Secretary P.Y.O Punjab Babar Butt booked for demanding extortion

Lahore: Manawan police have booked General Secretary P.Y.O Punjab Babar Butt and his fellows for kidnapping two brothers and demanding extortion money of RS 2.8 millions. Police have yet to arrest the accused.

The FIR registered on the complaint of Fayyaz Hussain against Babar Butt and others who stated that he was at his home when two Armed personnel came there and said that Babar Butt had called him and his brother Gulam Abbas.

They started beating us after entering the house as they refused to go with them.The Armed personnel took them to the dera of Babar Butt where he kept us in illegal custody, threatened and demanded Rs 28 lakhs.

Meanwhile a boy came there and informed that my family had called police emergency 15 and police likely to come to rescue us. Later Babar Butt released us after calling to my uncle and warned him that if he was not being paid Rs 28 lakhs then he would have killed us without caring the police.

Babar Butt is a resident of Lakhudare and a prominent PPP local leader who had contested general election on the ticket of PPP.He is a general secretary of Peoples Youth Organization,Punjab and had also served as a special assistant of Governor Punjab.He also involved in the killing of cops at Police Station Baghbanpura,some years back.
