Hameeda Waheed hands over keys of a newly constructed house to a widow in Mandi Bahauddin

Hameeda Waheed ud Din,mandi bahauaddinLahore: On the direction of Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, a simple ceremony was held at Kandanwala, Mandi Bahauddin in which keys of a newly constructed house were handed over to a widow and shelter-less lady Naeema Arshad. Representing the Chief Minister Punjab, Provincial Minister for Women Development Hameeda Waheed-ud-Din and MNA Mumtaz Ahmed Tarar handed over the keys and ownership documents to Naeema Arshid. Additional District Collector Afzaal Ahmed Warraich and Assistant Commissioner Shabbir Hussain Cheema were also present on the occasion.

It may be mentioned that a few months ago, a small boy of a woman resident of Kandanwala was killed after abuse whereas his father Mirza Arshad also died due to this shock. The Chief Minister especially visited Mandi Bahauddin to express sympathies with the aggrieved family. He had also announced to provide house on the request of the widow, upon which the government has purchased a 2-storey house valuing 28 lakh rupees at Al-Hamad Colony and handed over to the widow.

The Minister said that Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, on the request of shelter-less woman, provided a new house. She said that although the losses of the widow cannot be made up by this house yet a shelter has been provided to her. On the request of widow, Mumtaz Tarar said that he will talk to the concerned officials for providing sui gas in this house.

Widow Naeema Arshad thanked Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and prayed for his long life.
