Lahore: A special team constituted by Director General Wildlife Khalid Ayaz Khan has recovered departmental fine of Rs.15000 from two persons for hunting and keeping wild sparrows while orders have been issued for the arrest of two other persons.
According to details, departmental fine of Rs.5000 rupees was recovered from a person Ramzan alias Kali of Kasur Lari Adda for keeping 40 wild sparrows illegally. Similarly, the team with the help of Rangers took action against Abdul Moid s/o Abdul Qadoos involved in catching wild sparrows and birds in the border area of Kasur. However, his two accomplices Shabbir and Ramzan managed to escape.
The accused was presented in the court of Magistrate Syed Faizan Rasool and a departmental fine of Rs.10000 was recovered. Instructions have been issued to SHO Ganda Singh for arresting and presenting Shabbir and Ramazan before court within a week.
