Drs are being threatened after pointing out corruption at PIC

Lahore: After pointing out the purchase of heart valves on double price in the bills of local purchase done in September 2015 in Punjab Institute of Cardiology PIC Lahore , we are being threatened for dire consequences after we have demanded a neutral inquiry on the matter .

Local MPA and other officials have threatened us not to hold the press conference .

The lady vice president Of YDA Pakistan Dr Samra Majeed further added that YDA has always pointed out corruption at the hospitals and had given applications for inquiry into this matter to the Chairman BOM PIC Lahore and other authorities but no one has taken action on it .

in the month of September 2015 the LP section of PIC purchased mitral valves ( artificial heart valves ) the price of one valve was 55000 rs in market but the bill which was received at hospital had double the amount on it . similarly other items were purchased at double the price from the market and when the local pharmacist refused to sign the bills , she was sacked from the hospital .

YDA has demanded from CM Punjab to order an inquiry into the matter via CMIT and anti corruption department GOP , otherwise the young doctors will be forced to file a writ petition in high court for getting an inquiry commission constituted into the matter .

she further added that the invoices and bills and hospital record is being tampered and changed by the local MS and it should be crystal clear to everyone that tempering the record and changing the invoices wont help the administration .
