Lahore: Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs & Human Rights Khalil Tahir Sindhu has said that topics of human rights importance are being included in the curriculum for constituting a peaceful society.
He was talking to Kristof Duwaerts, Country Director Hanns Seidal Foundation at his office, today. Javed Naseem and Ms Alan were also present on the occasion. The Minister informed the delegation about the steps taken for welfare of minorities under Minority Affairs & Human Rights Department.
He said that human rights are protected and their importance is being highlighted in the light of manifesto of human rights of UN. He said that social mindset can be changed through education. He said that religious harmony committees have been constituted at district level for the promotion of brotherhood and accommodation in the light of teachings of all the religions which comprise Ulema of all the religions. Country Director of the foundation appreciated the step of Punjab government.
