Minister for Food inspects Restaurants at food street Lahore Fort

Lahore: Provincial Minister for Food Bilal Yasin has said that no compromise will be made in the quality of eatable items, staff and cleanliness arrangements in the restaurants. He said that the implementation on the mechanism evolved by Food Authority will be ensured.

He said this while checking Kaku Restaurant at food street Lahore Fort. Food Safety Officer and other officers accompanied the Minister. There were poor cleanliness arrangements, dirty hands of the staff and non-availability of certificates of employees upon which Food Safety Officer imposed a fine of Rs. 25 thousand to Kaku Restaurant, whereas warning was issued to Haveli Restaurant on poor cleanliness arrangements. Bilal Yasin said that according to the vision of Chief Minister Punjab, the mechanism evolved by Food Authority for providing quality meal to the people will be implemented strictly and no influence will be taken care of in this regard. He said that the mechanism of Food Authority is aimed at providing quality food items to the people due to which not only the standard of restaurants will improve but people will also feel satisfaction. He said that beside provision of meal according to hygienic principles, best environment will also be available to the people.
