Italian Ambassador Stefano Pontecorvo calls on CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif

Lahore: Italian Ambassador in Pakistan Stefano Pontecorvo called on Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, here today. Matters of mutual interest, promotion of bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation in various sectors were discussed in the meeting.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that best friendly relations exist between Pakistan and Italy. He stressed the need of further promoting relations between both the countries.

He said that there should be maximum exchange of trade delegations between the two countries. He said that Italy has special expertise in generating energy from solar and other alternative sources and the cooperation of Italy in energy, education, technology and socio-economic sectors will be welcomed.

Italian Ambassador Stefano Pontecorvo said that Italy has expertise in waste to energy and solar energy and is willing to promote cooperation in energy sector with Punjab government.
