Pakistan Hindu Council to organize Combined Marriages Programme 2016 for sixty Hindu couples

Dr. Ramesh Kumar VankwaniLahore: Sixty Hindu couples from poor families are going to tie the knot during the Combined Marriages Programme, to be organised by Pakistan Hindu Council, at Y.M.C.A. Ground, Karachi on Sunday, January 24, at 5:00 PM.

Patron-in-chief of Pakistan Hindu Council and Member National Assembly, Dr. Ramesh Kumar Vankwani, announced that the annual ceremony will be opened to media and a large number of prominent personalities are invited to grace the occasion.

He was of the view that mass weddings were preferred for economic and social reasons across the globe, adding that here in our country, Pakistan Hindu Council takes pride to organize regularly on annual bases from last 10 yaers when 20 couples got married, with the collaboration of other charitable groups as a form of public service. He said that the motive behind to organize such events is to project positive image of Pakistan among the international community, and ensure the active participation of minorities to serve the country.
