Lahore: The Public Relations Officer, Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122), Jam Sajjad Hussain has passed PhD Mass Communication (Course-work) with graceful grades, by securing “Five As & one B”. He successfully completed course work of six subjects including Tools and Skills of Social Sciences Research, Research Debates, Managing Information, Research Practicum, Gender Studies and Dissertation Writing Workshop.
According to details, besides discharging his professional duties with Pakistan’s first Modern Emergency Service, Jam Sajjad Hussain is a PhD Scholar with School of Media & Communication Studies, University of Central Punjab. After passing the exam with distinction, Jam Sajjad has paid special thanks to his mentor & Dean Faculty of Social Sciences, Prof. Dr. Mugheesuddin Sheikh, and his teachers; colleagues and associates including Prof. Dr. Najma Najam, Prof. Dr. Afsheen Masood, Prof. Dr. Anjum Zia, Prof. Dr. Shumaila Asad, Director General, Rescue 1122, Brig. Dr. Arshad Zia, Director General, Emergency Services Academy, Brig. Amir Hamza and Registrar, Dr. Farhan Khalid for extending their sincere cooperation in this regard.
According to Jam, since doing PhD was his childhood passion and at this stage, he felt he has crossed half journey successfully owing to blessings of Allah Almighty & prayers of his parents and he was hopeful to catch his final destination under kind supervision of his mentor Dr. Mugheesuddin Sheikh. It may pertinent to mention here, Jam Sajjad Hussain has authored four books; writes columns & features on different national and international issues, whereas his some research articles have also been published in national and international research journals. He intends to write his dissertation of PhD on Disaster Communication.
