Senator Sirajul Haq a big public meeting in connection with the Seerat Un Nabi at Mingora

Lahore: Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, has said that the month of Rabiul Awwal every month reminded the faithful of their religious obligation to enforce the Shariah in the country and lead their lives accordingly. He was addressing a big public meeting in connection with the Seerat Un Nabi at Mingora, on Saturday.

Sirajul Haq said that the Pakistanis working broad were remitting around 18 billion dollars annually but the corrupt elite ruling the country was plundering most of this amount and transferring the same abroad to their bank accounts.

The JI chief said he had seen with his own eyes, the palaces of the Pakistani rulers in Dubai and Malaysia that showed how ruthlessly the public money had been plundered by the rulers. It was a tragedy, he said, that these rulers were securing huge loans from the IMF and the World Bank due to which the foreign pressure on the country was mounting and the government had to raise the prices of gas, electricity, etc. on their dictation. This had made the common man’s life a hell, he added.

Sirajul Haq said that he had taken a solemn assurance from Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at the Prophet’s Mosque, Madina, for the abolition of usury and obscenity in the country but the Premier had forgotten his pledge.

He said the ruling elite JI was not prepared to stop loot and plunder but the JI was determined to retrieve the ill gotten wealth of the ruling elite after coming to power.

Sirajul Haq said that the constitution made it obligatory for the government to provide basic facilities to the masses but the rulers were not discharging their responsibility on this score.

He said that Malakand division had been most affected by terrorism, earthquakes and floods and he was mobilizing the elected representatives of the area for safeguarding the rights of their people.

He further said that the conspiracies of the federal government concerning the CPEC would be foiled.
