Lahore: The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party approved three development schemes of Irrigation Development Sector with an estimated cost of These schemes were approved in the 21st meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2015-16 presided over by the Punjab Chairman P&D Board Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan.
Provincial Secretary P&D Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting.
According to Spokesman for P&DD, the approved development schemes included: Greater Thal Canal Project-Phase-II (Chaubara Branch) at the cost of Rs. 6261.701 million, Land Acquisition for Jalalpur Irrigation Project at the cost of Rs. 3092.500 million and Acquisition of Consultancy Services for PPMS, Baseline, Post Completion Survey / Assessment and GIS Enabled Integrated MIS Development for Flood Emergency Reconstruction and Resilience Project-ADB Assisted (PC-II) at the cost of Rs. 165.000 million.
