Lahore: The Punjab University Syndicate’s meeting was adjourned on Saturday because of the death of the brother of Syndicate member senator Razina Alam. The Syndicate meeting was chaired by PU VC Dr Mujahid Kamran.
The Syndicate was hearing the case of alleged illegal appointment of Principal PUCIT Prof Dr Mansoor Sarwar on the direction of the Lahore High Court. Dr Sarwar appeared before the Syndicate and was granted sufficient opportunity where questions and answers were discussed.
Meanwhile, Dr Razina Alam was informed that her brother had passed away in Karachi upon which the meeting was adjourned and this case would be taken up in the next sitting of this meeting.
